In your own words, please describe your book.
Delicate Devastation is a paranormal story set in New Orleans. It’s Peter’s story and the third book in the Endurers’ series. At first glance, Peter appears to be just a rich, handsome playboy, but he’s so much more than that. He’s a man haunted by a lot of bad memories… and the past is coming pack to haunt him.
Kim is your typical party girl, or at least that’s the image she gives off. But she’s haunted by her past as well, although in a completely different way from Peter. But life for her is fixing to change in a huge way, when she takes home a demon. She manages to escape, but she runs into Peter… and he reluctantly has to take on her protection.
If you love books set in New Orleans, I hope you will add this one to your reading list.
What genre/genres does your book fall under?

Is this book part of a series?
This is the third book in the Endurers’ series. It can also be read by itself.
What was the inspiration behind your book?
Peter is a character that I introduced in the second book. Hundreds of years ago, he was once a priest, but that all changed when demons crucified him. Now, he’s an immortal Endurer. In some ways, he still works as a priest, but his duties are a lot different than they once were. And the Endurers are nowhere near chaste… they are much to long-lived for that.
Once he was introduced in book two, I really felt that his story needed to be told. And that was the inspiration for this book.
What led you into writing? Was it a lifelong ambition, or the result of some type of turning point in your life?
I’ve always wanted to write, but it just never seemed to click. Over the years, I’d started and stopped several books. None of these early stories have been published.
But after the death of someone close to me, and during the subsequent grief, it seemed to open a creative door that had always been previously locked… and Rubenesque Rapture was born.
The Endurers’ series deals a lot with the apocalypse. There is a lot of death, pain, and grief. Sometimes there are second chances and sometimes there are messages from beyond. And when we lose someone, I think that most of us want to know that there is a chance we will see the person we lost again… if not in this life, than hopefully in the next.
And in the middle of all this death, pain, and horrifying circumstances, love is born. Sometimes, even when all hope is lost, some of the greatest miracles occur.
What are you working on now?
Book five in this series.
