Interview With Author Karina Espinosa (Sins Of The Fallen, YA Fantasy)

Book Cover (KDP)

In your own words, please describe your book….

Max is your average teenager—school, work and hanging out with friends. That is until one night he’s kidnapped and all hell breaks loose. No one is really who they say they are—including Max—and he’s stuck trying to figure who he really is and why they’re after him. Thrown into a world of angels and demons, Max must grow up fast to protect his loved ones and make sure they all come out of this alive.

What is the genre?

Young Adult-Fantasy.

What inspired you to write Sins Of The Fallen?

I was actually reading the bible one night (I know…odd) and I came across the term Nephilim (major hint but not quite lol). I’m an extremely curious person—a nice way to say I’m nosy and I started googling. Learning all these cool facts and verses where the Nephilim are mentioned. And because I have such an overactive imagination, I started wondering if it was possible nowadays. That’s when these characters came to be and by the time I was done daydreaming, I had a whole story to tell.

Will this book be a standalone or part of a series?

Sins of the Fallen is the first book in a series. For now I’m thinking it’ll be a trilogy but I am almost positive that there might be more than three books.

Where can readers find your book?

All retailers including, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and ibook.

Tell us one thing about you we wouldn’t know?

I’m addicted to my kindle. It goes absolutely everywhere with me. There is no such thing as spare time because I’m constantly reading. I need like a book reader’s anonymous group lol.

What has been the best moment in your writing career?

Well since this is my first novel and I’m just starting out, I’d have to say getting published is the best moment so far. It took me a while to finally get over my fear of sharing my work. But now I’m so excited I can barely keep it together lol.

How do you come up with the titles of your book?

I made a list of words that either described or related to my story and then connected them together to see what makes sense.

How can readers connect with you?

I’ll have my website up and running soon so be on the lookout

What are you working on now?

I am currently working on the second installment of Sins of the Fallen, as well as a NA romance that’s still in the outlining stages.
